About the Composer
In the company of psalms & saints.
Joseph Burrows is a composer, arranger, and Catholic music director whose work has been written almost entirely from inside the sanctuary — shaped week by week by the demands of real liturgy and the voices of real choirs.
He currently serves as Music Director at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Indianapolis, where he leads the parish choirs, directs music for the Sunday and feast-day liturgies, and continues a long collaboration with the Archdiocese of Indianapolis.
His original works include the Mass for Saint Joan of Arc — a complete setting of the Ordinary, with Kyrie, Gloria, O Bone Jesu, Sanctus, and Agnus Dei — alongside psalms, anthems, and choral arrangements published through Hal Leonard's ArrangeMe imprint and distributed by Sheet Music Plus and Sheet Music Direct.
The music gathered here is offered in service of the choirs and congregations who, like Joseph, return each Sunday to make the beautiful work of singing prayer.
